Technical Sales Engineer (m/f/d) – at least 50 % Homeoffice

The Technical Sales Engineer is responsible for identifying and establishing new accounts in Australia and New Zealand for the company’s products. He or she is accountable for driving sales growth and achieving incremental sales performance for the company. The Technical Sales Engineer will visit potential customers, understand and establish their embedded system projects’ requirements/expectations and recommend solutions on how the company’s products meet their requirements. This will involve providing pre-sales technical product education, presentations and advice to potential customers on the integration of the company’s products into their projects. He or she must be persuasive in their presentations and persistent in pursuing opportunities. 

 

Your tasks:

  • Pursue and establish new accounts by identifying potential customers for the company’s products
  • Understand and establish the potential customers' projects requirements and recommend solutions on how the company’s products meet their requirements, which will involve providing technical descriptions of the company’s products and services
  • Provide pre-sales technical product education, presentations and advice to potential customers on the integration of the company’s products into their projects
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of the company’s products, procedure and tools
  • Suggest pricing indications and prepare quotations of the company’s products for potential customers
  • Cultivate long-term relationships with potential customers, through managing and interpreting their current and future requirements
  • Manage and document all aspects of lead generation, opportunities and forecasts in the company’s CRM system
  • Provide status reports on sales activities
  • Plan and ensure that sales targets and budgets are met
  • Commit to providing quality and efficient customer service
  • Customer visits, participation in trade shows, conferences, trainings and meetings to support sales activities
     

Your profile:

  • Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from an accredited university
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a technical product sales role
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a B2B sales environment and in complex electronic systems
  • Demonstrated experience in holding accountability for sales targets and successfully achieving targets
  • Demonstrated experience in direct customer-facing sales
  • Incredibly strong interpersonal communication skills and confidence in presenting and pitching to customers
  • Strong technical understanding and knowledge of computer architectures (x86, ARM) and operating systems (Windows, Linux)
  • Strong orientation to the provision of quality and efficient customer support
  • Results driven and enthusiastic with a hands-on attitude
  • Able to travel domestic as well as international
