Deggendorf, Germany, 22 September 2009 * * * congatec AG, a leading supplier of embedded computer modules, has appointed Axel Petrak as its new International Sales and Business Development Director. In this newly created position he will report directly to the CEO.
Petrak is a veteran with over 25 years of international experience in sales and marketing. He spent the last 13 years in various senior management positions with Intel® Deutschland GmbH. His last post there was Director Global Alliance & Sales EMEA for the embedded and telecommunications division.
Petrak will be responsible for the worldwide sales activities of congatec AG. In his position as Business Development Director, he will also drive the expansion of congatec’s partner activities as well as focus on utilizing the Intel® Embedded and Communications Alliance program to the fullest.
At the same time as fulfilling his responsibilities with congatec AG, he will continue to carry out his position as EMEA director with the LINUX Foundation. His commitment to promoting the successful Open Source operating system within the industry will also create new synergies between the LINUX Foundation, congatec AG and industrial customers.
