AEO

Against the backdrop of increasing international trade and supply chains, the World Customs Organization (WCO) has created global framework conditions and standards with the aim of increasing security in supply chains. Within this framework, a partnership program between companies and customs authorities has been established - the AEO - Authorized Economic Operator. Within the EU, the AEO program is a customs authorization that companies based within the EU can apply for at the relevant customs offices. A holder of the AEO authorization is therefore particularly reliable and trustworthy in international goods traffic.

congatec has been the holder of the AEO authorization since 2013 and can therefore demonstrate that it meets the high standards, among other things with regard to supply chain security. The authorization held by congatec has the status AEO-F (Full) and includes both the requirements of the customs simplifications of the AEO-C (Customs) and the security-related conditions of the AEO-S (Security).
